Video Cards - And 3D Graphics Technologies vs. Performance

Hi everyone! I decided to make this post to learn more about video cards, 3d graphic technologies, performance and their functions. Video card are used for Video Games, and graphic edition.

If you are a Gamer you adjust the video settings options for better quality and performance, specially PC GAMERS
My current video card is Nvidia GT640 so I want to get the best out of it, I need to learn more of its capabilities and the demands of the games I play. I also need to adjust the video settings options inside the Game and Outside the game (Nvidia control panel) for better performance/quality for gameplay. We want fluid Gaming and FPS to frag and frag and frag.

So let's learn:

There is settings in Nvidia control panel.
And there is In-Game Settings.
We need to verify and find out what are those, both.

Nvidia Control Panel:

Ambient occlusion = OFF
Anisotropic Filtering = 16x
Antialiasing - FXAA = OFF
Antialiasing - Gamma = On
Antialiasing Mode = App Controlled
Antialiasing - Transparency = OFF
CUDA - GPU's = ALL
Max Pre Rendered Frames = 1
Multi-display/mixedGPU acceleration = SINGLE DISPLAY PERFORMANCE MODE
Power management mode = PREFER MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
Shader Cache = ON
Texture Filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization = OFF
Texture Filtering - Negative LOD bias = CLAMP
Texture Filtering - Quality = QUALITY
Texture Filtering - Trilinear optimisation = ON
Threaded optimization = ON
Triple Buffering = ON
Vertical Sync = OFF

In-Game settings:

Fullscreen resolution = 1920x1080 59.94Hz
Fullscreen mode = Boderless
Brightness = 60%
Vertical Sync = OFF
Field of view = 82
Field of view scaling in ADS = ON
Motion blur amount = 0%
Weapon DOF = OFF
Colorblind = OFF
HUD sixe = 10%
Resolution scale = 130%

Texture quality = ULTRA
Texture filtering = ULTRA
Lighting quality = ULTRA
Effects quality = ULTRA
Post process quality = ULTRA
Mesh quality = ULTRA
Terrain quality = LOW (I'm led to believe this is bugged and LOW actually = ULTRA)
Terrain decoration = ULTRA
Antialiasing deferred = 2x MSAA
Antialiasing post = OFF
Ambient occlusion = HBAO
